I can’t tell you how many times I hear my mom friends ask if they can bring me coffee right before we are about to get together and hang out. Or how many times coffee is mentioned in our stories when sharing about our day.

Honestly, I hate coffee. I live in Seattle but I don’t drink a sip of it. Tried it a few times years apart- and it’s just not something I can acquire my taste buds to at all.

But hey, it’s still no joke how badly coffee keeps the engines running with my fellow momma friends. Like, without their cup of coffee, their day can range from happy and somewhat normal, to a total shit show where mom has lost her mind and the kids just happen to be louder and with even more energy that specific day. Coffee is a game changer in the lives of those who are parents.

So moms to be, I’m sure it’s safe to say that investing in a coffee maker is going to be totally worth it. Now,  this is not to exclude dads, but speaking honestly, I’m not surrounded by many dad friends so I’m not trying to be sexist here in parenting roles by specifically saying “mom”. I’m strictly speaking on behalf of my circle of friends which is made up of some fabulous women. 😉
And if you’re not a coffee drinker like myself, I’d say it’s worth investing in Starbucks gift cards to stash in your car or purse so when your fellow momma friend is having a rough morning, you can drop off a littler surprise and literally watch her day turn around and become a little easier to manage. Like I said, coffee is a game changer. 

So, wake up and smell the coffee… with kids, you’re going to need it.
